Since Zika is spread by mosquitoes, avoiding them means avoiding Zika. Spraying mosquito spray like Kala Hit in your home can be extremely helpful.

There is no cure for it, so prevention is the only way. According to experts, some measures can be taken to avoid mosquitoes:

Wear neutral-colored clothing, if possible, wear long-sleeved clothing
Spray the outer surface of clothing with premethrin, if available
Do not allow water to accumulate in the house.
