After this, a resolution was passed that the last Sunday of January in 1930 would be celebrated as Independence Day. Jawaharlal Nehru hoisted the tricolor on the banks of the Ravi river in Lahore on the 26th of 1930. After this, India celebrated Independence Day, but the British were still in India.

Before 15 August 1947, when India got independence, our Constituent Assembly which was formed in 1946 and our constitution was ready by 26 November 1949, then the leaders who were then decided to stay for 2 months and in such a situation republican on 26 January The day began to be celebrated.
