Our first Education Minister was Maulana Abul Kalam Azad from 15 August 1947 till 22 February 1958.
Each year on 11 November we celebrate national education day with the name of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad who was the first Education Minister of India.

About Ramesh Pokhriyal: Ramesh Pokhriyal born on 15 July 1959, known as a Nishank. He is the 33rd Human Resource Minister of India after the Prakash Javedker. His Career was started as a teacher in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
Nishank was also the novel writer who has written 44 books till now in Hindi. Some of these books have been translated into other languages.
