Dhoni was born on 7 July 1981 in Ranchi of Jharkhand. Dhoni used to belong Rajput family. Mahendra Singh dhoni’s paternal village is Lamgara block of the Almora District of Uttarakhand but his father moved to Ranchi because his father was working in MECON. His father’s name was Pan Singh. Dhoni has one sister and one brother. Dhoni’s mother’s name was Devaki deva. MS. dhoni was inspired by many celebrities such in cricket career he was inspired by Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar and Adam Gilchrist. Education of Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Dhoni did his schooling from DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Shyamal in Ranchi Jharkhand. In the starting time, Dhoni wasn’t interested in cricket, he had an interest in football and badminton. He was selected as well for a goalkeeper in the footwall but later his coach sent him to play cricket in a local cricket club. Although he couldn’t impress via his batting skill, he showed his a new skills as a wicketkeeper so he was selected as wicketkeeper for Commando cricket club ( 1995 – 1998 ).
Due to his excellent performance as wicket-keeper, he was selected for under – 17 Mankind champion trophy. The first Dhoni passed his 10th class then he focused on cricket. in 2001 to 2003 he became the TTE at Kharagpur railway station also. One day at the station Dhoni misbehaved, first of dhoni and his friends covered themselves with a white sheet and run on the whole station, and the security guard understood them as ghosts and this activity became ka news in next day.

Junior cricket in Bihar:- Dhoni first played local cricket in Bihar, when he completed the 12th class he had played only for local after this he started his career in professional cricket. In 1998 Dhoni used to play for Central Coal Fields Limited in this tournament he was selected by Deval Sahay who helped Dhoni into his career in pushing him towards the high stage of cricket.
Bihar Cricket Team:- when Dhoni completed his 18 years he played for the Bihar Ranji trophy. he made half a century in his debut match and in all series he scored 283 runs in 5 matches, on an average of matches were for MS. Dhoni while playing for Bihar.
Jharkhand cricket team:- in 2003- 2004 dhoni played for Jharkhand and smashed score with some of the half-centuries in Ranji trophy and some of in deodar trophy as well. In the 2004 Ranji trophy, he made 128 runs against Assam in ODI. Dhoni was part East Zone squad that won the Deodhar Trophy 2003–2004. this was the time dhoni started to get following and love from the Indian. in 2004 he made 244 runs in 4 matches only.

Dhoni announced his retirement to the international cricket format on 15 August 2020 on the day of India’s 74th independence. He did this announcement by posting a video on Instagram which were showing both moments of life some of them were bad and some good also.

Dhoni was picked for the Bangladesh tour in 2004/05 but it was not a good tour for ms dhoni because he ran out in his debut match and did not score bad so this was the bad starting of international ODI’s with ms dhoni. Post-2011 World Cup:- India won the 2011 world cup in dhoni’s captaincy, total in two matches dhoni did captaincy and one of them was won.
