Lord Mahavir Biography | 24th Tirthankara of the Jain Religion
Lord Mahavir was the 24th Tirthankara of the Jain religion. Load Mahaveer was born in 599 BCE in Kundalpur. Mahaveer was known as Vardhman and Samanti as well. he left his home at the age of 30 years. when everything was increasing Animal sacrifice, caste discrimination these were the daily struggle part of life in that time. He told to all over the world that what is honesty and integrity towards the people. Tirthankara Mahabveer said that ethics is base of human life. Ahinsa, Truth, Aparigraha, Acharya, and Brahmacharya all Jain monks should follow these steps for life. Lord Mahavir gave a path of honesty and the right direction to the people who were around him.
Early Life of Lord Mahavir
Lord Mahaveer used to belong to the jain community and he was the 24th Tirthankara of jain. Mahaveer’s father’s name was Sidharth and his mother was Trishala. His name was Mahavir because he was Courageous, stunning, knowledgeable, and extremely powerful. Mahavir controlled all the senses that is why he was called Jitendra also. The middle eleven years of life he spent in the forest while doing the meditation.

there was a girl of Kaling Naresh who married the lord Mahaveer so her name was Yasoda. but at the age of 30 years, he left his home and via meditation he got Kaivalya Gyan. while doing the meditation he went into the bagh and under the tree. he did the meditation with hard determination then got Kaivalya Gyan, this whole meditation he was doing without wearing cloth. when he was doing the meditation people used to throw pebbles on him and many children and people insulted him.
According to Kalp Sutra:- he spent 42 monsoons of his ascetic life in Astigram, Champapuri, Prastichampa, Vaishali, Vaanijagram, Nalanda, Mithila, Bhadrika, Alabhika, Panitabhoomi, Shravasti, and Pawanpuri. Mahavir, after starting the philosophy of Parshvanatha, gave him the permanent basis of Jain philosophy. Lord Mahavir was only the person who never took the help of any outsourcing help as many things he did for Jain he did with his own idea and hard work. In modern times goes to totally Mahavir because he established the once more Jain community.
According to tradition, 14,000 Yogis, 36,000 Mathvasini, 159,000 Shravakas, and 318,000 Shravikas became followers of Mahavira. According to Jain texts, he got salvation because his Soul was proven. On the same day, Gandhara was born who was his follower. According to Mahapuran, the gods buried him. Mahavir Swami had many names – ‘Arhat’, ‘Jin’, ‘Nirgrath’, ‘Mahavir’, ‘Atveer’ etc. This religion was later named ‘Jainism’ after his ‘Jin’ name. All the Jain give the priority to non-violence, the sanctity of deeds and another third thing is pluralism, according to this, we need to understand the other point of view also while making any decision.
