Know how your obesity can affect your bones and joints?

This problem is being seen increasing day by day and with the increase in obesity, the risk of heart diseases and deadly diseases like diabetes, cancer is also increasing. The body’s fat tissue produces certain chemicals in the body, the effect of which is cartilage damage. It has been proved in research that increases the risk of OA increases the risk of joints of knees, hips, wrists, and hands.

Obesity and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

In this condition, there is damage to the joints and tissues of the body by cytokines. In obese people, fat tissue releases cytokines that cause inflammation in the giants. Obesity increases the risk of RA, which makes treatment less effective and joints are more affected.

This increases the mechanical load in obese people and increases the production of estrogen in fat tissue. Thus obesity has been shown to have safer outcomes against hip fractures. Some studies have also shown that increased body fat reduces bone mass and increases the risk of fractures.
