Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar Biography | First Law and Justice Minister of India
I hope there is nobody who doesn’t know about Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar because as he did for the Indian Constitution and on the other as he fought for his rights with the people. He used to belong lower cast so people used to do conspiracy with but Bhimrao Ambedkar never gave on his rights he did struggle at most of the steps and proved that who belong to the lower cast should have the ability to do something big in form of government service or it may be a war against thoughts.
Bhimrao Ram Ji Ambedkar was an economist, politician, and social reformer. He played an important role in forming the Indian Constitution because he directed to the drafting committee for such rules and laws.
Early-stage of Bhimrao Ambedkar
Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was born on 14 April 1891 in Mhow Nagar of Madhya Pradesh. Bhimrao was the 14 the child of his parents. His father’s name was Molaji Sakpan and his mother was Bhimabai. His family used to follow the Kabir’s thoughts. His father was a constable in the supervision of the British government. Ambedkar used to belong Mahar cast which was known as the lower cast at that time so he was economically and socially affected.
Education of Bhimrao Ambedkar
Primary Education:- Ramji Ambedkar took admission in first class with the school name of government on 7 November 1900, so every 7 November is known as ” Student Day “. At that time his nickname was ” Bhiva “.
When Bhimrao passed 4th class so it was a big achievement in untouchability duration. Bhimrao got a Biography book by Gautam Budh which was by his grandfather. This was the first time when Ambedkar got to know about Gautam Budh and he learned so many things from that biography as well as attached with his education of life.
Middle and Graduation Education:- In 1907 he passed metric and next year took admission to Alfinton College. This was the highest stage where Ambedkar reached from his community. Here he graduated with B.A with the main subject of Economics.
Study at Columbia University:- In 1913 when he was 22 years old he went to the United States in the New York Columbia University he was getting a scholarship of 11.50 per month. In 1915 he completed his post-graduation with M.A ( Economics ).
In Columbia, he handled many research projects which attached him to Jon Devi who seen the democracy project of Bhimrao. In 1927 he received p.hd also. In 1916 he took the admission for garage in barrister and in London of Economics as well where he did work on economics thesis of doctorate.
Struggle against Untouchability
Dr. Ambedkar said ” untouchability is worse than slavery because he faced discrimination of cast when he was selected as Cheif Secretary of Maharaja Gaikwad he facing issues with the people who used to think totally different for lower cast people so he left secretary job in easy time. He has written the whole story in his book ” waiting for a visa “. He became a professor of college but the other professor used to discriminate against him one day they did not give the water to Bhimrao in the same pot which they used to be for themselves.
In second Golmej Sammelan Ambedkar received the award for the lower cast community which was known as a communal award. According to this lower cast, the community had the right to 2 votes from one he can choose a leader from the lower cast, and from another vote he could give to choose a normal leader. Mahatma Gandhi was not happy with this act so he took fast protest and made pressure on Bhimrao Ambedkar to leave this act. And in last due to high pressure of public Ambedkar took the decision for leaving the 2 voter activity but he maximized the seats for the lower cast community and took promise for not doing the discrimination with lower cast community in any category it might be government recruit or right of something.
Politics Journey of Bhimrao Ambedkar
The political career of Bhimrao Ambedkar was from 1926 to 1956. For the first time, he was selected as a member of Vidhan sabha in Mumbai, and from 1926 to 1936 he did good work and he was selected as legislative of council in Mumbai. And in 1935 he got an opportunity to become the principal of Delhi University Ramjas college After dying of college establisher Shri Rai Kedarnath’s death he directed to all the things in college.
Death of Ambedkar
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was suffering from Madhumeh in 1948. In 1954 he was suffering from many illnesses and was getting weak. On the other hand, due to political aspects, he had much pressure on him so on 7 December 1956 he died.
